Hiking circuits

Discover a unique natural environment next to the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park

La Molina, in collaboration with the Natural Park of Cadí-Moixeró, offers two hiking and interpretation circuits: the Nature circuit and the Mine circuit. Both can be done around the Niu de l’Àliga and are free.

In La Molina, you can also do other itineraries, like the ones we have marked on the map of the resort.

Nature Circuit – 30 minutes

The fauna is one of the elements of the natural heritage that arouses the most interest and curiosity, but seeing it is not easy. It takes a lot of patience, finding the right place, knowing the behavior of the species and also a good dose of luck.

To make it easier, we propose a nature circuit where you can get to know some of the most characteristic species of the fauna of La Tosa up close, with realistic figures and traces.

  • Distance: 1.7 km
  • Elevation gain: 25 meters

Mining Circuit – 1 hour

Around the top of La Tosa, we will find a series of abandoned mines that were exploited between the 60s and 70s. We propose a beautiful excursion of easy route where you will be able, on the one hand, to admire the landscapes of the south and north band of this so emblematic summit; and, on the other hand, to know the reason for this landscape and the presence of minerals that were exploited despite the great height where they were.

Panoramic circular itinerary in Puigllançada – Descent: 1 hour. Total: 2.5 hours

A route that avoids dirt track areas and/or eroded areas and preferably runs through alpine meadows as well as pre-existing footpaths. Designed with a gentle ascent that allows you to maintain a constant uphill rhythm and makes it attractive for trail-running as well.

Cavalls del Vent Route

‘Cavalls de Vent’, the crossing between eight refuges located in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. In the summer of 2003, the guards of the eight refuges of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park devised a circular route that linked them through places of great natural and scenic beauty of the Tosa, Moixeró, Cadí and Massif mountain ranges. Pedraforca (in the counties of Berguedà, Cerdanya and Alt Urgell).

One of these hut is the Niu d’Àliga, owned by FGC – La Molina, which is the crossing point of the route and can also be the beginning and end of the journey.
