Adapted Sports Center in La Molina
Inclusive sport and accessible tourism
La Molina is one of the most advanced mountain resorts in terms of accessibility and adapted sports. Recognized by the Catalan Tourist Agency as an advocate for adapted tourism, it was awarded the IAKS 2009 prize for its accessibility model and is one of the most prominent worldwide for adapted sports facilities.
Accessible infrastructure and adapted lessons
Thanks to the collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and the Play and Train association, La Molina has adapted its facilities with special access to chairlifts and learning zones on the El Bosquet slope, which is equipped with lifts and wide-format conveyor belts.
To enjoy the surroundings and views, the Cadí-Moixeró cable car has an access ramp for people with reduced mobility.
A benchmark in adapted cycling
La Molina offers people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and the mountains, with a wide range of bicycles adapted to different abilities, making downhill biking possible.
In addition, the La Molina Adapted Sports Center (CEA) offers many activities fully adapted and accessible to people with disabilities:
- Handbikes with an adapted circuit
- Handbike routes
- Swimming pool with a fixed chair in the showers
- Quad bike outings
- Tubbing
- Adapted zip line at the Treetop Adventure Park
* For safety reasons, all activities at the Adapted Sports Center (CAE) must be booked in advance.
Adapted services and integral accessibility
The resort has reserved parking spaces, adapted equipment rentals, accessible entrances to restaurants, and accessible restrooms for wheelchairs. All of this makes La Molina a benchmark for inclusive tourism and adapted sports in Catalonia.
