REVIU Project
A Commitment to Circularity
FGC TURISME generates various types of waste and is aware of the problems associated with waste generation in terms of pollution and exceeding planetary boundaries. The fact that we generate small quantities of waste, but of great diversity, does not make final management easy when it comes to achieving, on the one hand, optimal and highly effective management, and on the other hand, scrupulous compliance with current regulations..
The goal of the REVIU project is to give materials a second life. To achieve this, it has established a partnership with a supplier that transforms our waste, through an industrial process, into materials that FGC TURISME can reuse.
CHALLENGES
We manage a very specific type of waste that is difficult to process (plastics and thermoplastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene), avoiding disposal in landfills or incineration, which generates CO₂ emissions and contaminates aquifers.
PARTNERSHIPS
We collect waste from all our stations—such as surfboard fins, nets, and boots—to generate large volumes of materials, which we then send to the EQUISOST plant, a supplier that helps us transform them through its industrial production process.
TRANSFORMATION
By transforming this waste into raw material for the manufacture of outdoor furniture, we are contributing to a circular economy, in which FGC Turisme has the opportunity to purchase products made from reused waste.
INNOVATION
We are manufacturing screens at mountain resorts using recycled plastic. In this process, we use innovative molds that replicate the characteristic shapes of the screens.
LOGISTICS
We establish internal and transportation logistics to collect the various types of waste at each mountain station, and we coordinate their transport to the EQUISOST facilities.
PROJECT DETAILS
In general, we can include all types of materials made from thermoplastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene, which are typically processed into rigid plastic.
