ACCESSIBILITY
TURISME FGC‘s mission is to make the mountains and outdoor sports accessible to everyone. For this reason, all areas and facilities at each resort are being progressively adapted.
We work daily to ensure that everyone can enjoy the Pyrenees without limitations. The technological advancements at the resorts and TURISME FGC’s commitment to accessibility guarantee a funny, comfortable, and safe day in the snow for all people with disabilities.
ACCESSIBILITY PROJECTS
LA MOLINA ADAPTED SPORTS CENTER
Located at La Molina ski resort, the Adapted Sports Center is a learning and fun space at the forefront of accessible tourism worldwide. The resort is recognized by the Agència Catalana de Turisme as a leader in accessible tourism and was awarded the IAKS 2009 prize.
The Adapted Sports Center is managed by the Play and Train association in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and offers accessible activities year-round. The center’s professionals offer ski and snowboard lessons, as well as a wide range of activities such as mono-skiing, dual-skiing, tandem skiing, and skiing for people with visual impairments, among others. All of this takes place in a safe environment with adapted chairlifts and learning slopes like “El Bosquet.”
INCLUSIVE CHANGING ROOMS
The Vall de Núria, Boí Taüll, and Vallter ski resorts have inclusive changing rooms designed to facilitate access for people who need assistance. These are changing rooms where everyone who wishes can find a hygienic and comfortable space to take care of their basic needs.
The changing rooms are equipped with an adjustable stretcher, a hoist, an adjustable toilet, a shower, a privacy screen, and other sanitary facilities, as well as ample space for users and their companions.
BOÍ TAÜLL HEARING LOOP
Since 2024, the Boí Taüll resort has had a hearing loop, an auditory assistance system that transmits sound directly to the hearing aids of people with hearing impairments. Users of this service do not hear ambient noise, allowing them to enjoy a much more pleasant and safe experience.
BOÍ TAÜLL ACCESSIBLE WALKWAY
The Boí Taüll resort is equipped with a 142-meter walkway designed to ensure access to the slopes for people with reduced mobility. The walkway connects parking lot P2 to the ski slopes and has a maximum gradient of 8%.
WEB ACCESSIBILITY
The FGC website is designed to facilitate universal access for all users, regardless of their physical, sensory, or intellectual abilities, as well as the technical context of their use (type of device, software, connection speed, environmental conditions, etc.).
Therefore, we are working to adapt the entire website to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to eliminate barriers that hinder access to information and communication. These recommendations are outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
LIFTS
The lifts at our resorts allow everyone to access high altitudes. They also feature technology that slows the speed to facilitate a smooth ascent and descent.
At La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, and Boí Taüll, the lifts operate during the summer months, allowing you to enjoy the mountains 365 days a year.
