This Wednesday, July 1, the Vallter resort officially kicks off its summer season, which will run through August 30. With a clearly diversified and year-round offering, the resort positions itself as a premier destination for those seeking to combine mountain sports with family-friendly experiences in the unique natural setting of the Cabeceras del Ter y del Freser Natural Park.
New Things for the Whole Family: Fun and Learning
This summer, Vallter is putting a special focus on the little ones with the creation of a series of children’s activities and orienteering events designed to encourage them to explore the mountains in a fun way:
- Adventure Course: Featuring the new downhill course with Mountain Karts and the electric motorcycle course in a controlled environment, offering a dose of adrenaline and adventure.
- Self-guided Gymkhana of Fajol: An opportunity to explore the secrets of the station on your own, solving nature-related puzzles and challenges.
Sports and Commitment to the Region
Vallter isn’t just about leisure—it’s also a sports hub. For road cycling enthusiasts, the resort offers its legendary Mountain Cycling Pass, a 12-km challenge with 1,100 m of elevation gain that peaks at 2,150 m, where cyclists have access to a dedicated “Cyclists’ Corner.”
The educational and environmental aspects of the project are brought to life with the opening of the new PiriTer365 exhibition and educational space. This center, the result of a collaboration with local stakeholders, invites visitors to learn about the source of the Ter River and the region’s rich biodiversity.
Unique experiences
To round out the visit, the resort offers special activities such as nature photography workshops and an astronomy experience. Visitors can also use the Photopoint at the chairlift’s arrival station to take home a digital souvenir featuring spectacular views of Gra de Fajol and the Bastiments.
