Port Ainé celebrates 10 years of the BETULA Freestyle Festival with an action-packed weekend in the snowpark

20 February 2026

Port Ainé kicks off another busy weekend with the tenth edition of the BETULA Freestyle Festival, an event that over the years has become an undisputed benchmark for freestyle in the Pyrenees. The competition will bring together riders of all ages and levels and will once again fill the resort’s snowpark with action. This year, the snowpark is in excellent condition and has been highly rated by clubs and technicians.

For two days, the snowpark will be transformed into a stage of continuous activity. The events will be adapted to all categories, from mini-riders to the absolute categories, taking advantage of the green, blue, and red lines that characterize the Port Ainé park. This diversity of terrain has been key to making BETULA an essential training and sporting event in the winter calendar.

One of the highlights will take place on Saturday afternoon with the Rail Event Open, an open exhibition combining music, a social atmosphere, and spectacular rails. The event will take place in front of the Hotel Port Ainé 2000 and, year after year, has established itself as one of the most participatory and iconic events of the festival.

The tenth anniversary celebrations will also include parallel activities aimed at both participants and families: a popular “botifarrada” (Catalan sausage barbecue), audiovisual screenings, social areas, hot chocolate, and an awards ceremony at the foot of the slopes. All of this reinforces the spirit that has defined BETULA since its inception: a space where sport, passion, creativity, and community coexist.

With ten years of experience, BETULA has established itself as an essential platform for promoting freestyle in the region, positioning Port Ainé as a benchmark for young riders and clubs who find a snowpark in constant evolution. The work of the shapers, technicians, volunteers, and local teams has been instrumental in growing a project that is now one of the highlights of the winter season.

This year, Port Ainé also has a packed calendar of other sporting events, including the Pallars Alpine Snowboard, which will be held at the resort this year after last year’s edition took place in Espot. This alternation reinforces the sporting dynamism of the region and the collaboration between the resorts in Pallars.

With a fully operational snowpark and a special edition for its tenth anniversary, Port Ainé is preparing for a weekend that will once again place the resort at the epicenter of Catalan freestyle.
