PIRINEU365 mountain resorts work tirelessly to open slopes as Storm Harry moves away, prioritizing safety

19 January 2026

After the active weather of the last few days, the teams at the six PIRINEU365 resorts are working tirelessly to progressively open the ski domains whenever possible, always prioritizing visitor safety. Please remember that more snowfall is forecast for the coming hours, so we recommend staying informed about the opening status of the six resorts.

Boí Taüll

The snowfall recorded since Saturday night has left up to 100 cm of new snow at the Ribagorça resort, with total depths ranging between 150 and 220 cm. On Saturday, January 17, despite the intensity of the precipitation, a partial and progressive opening was achieved. On Sunday the 18th, thanks to a break in the weather, the intermediate and lower sectors (Mulleres and Vaques) were opened, as well as the beginner zone, reaching a total of 17 km of open slopes.

Today, Monday, January 19, the domain has been expanded with the opening of the Express and Roies sectors following the completion of safety tasks, reaching 30 out of the resort’s 43 slopes. Espot Esquí

Espot Esquí reports 45 to 70 cm of new snow accumulated at high altitudes over the weekend. Regarding the status of the ski domain, the resort has been able to open, but the upper area remains closed due to the high risk of avalanches. The Clots zone and the La Pala, Tub de la Pala, and Pletillo slopes will remain temporarily closed. Port Ainé

Snow depths at this resort have exceeded 70 cm – 80 cm in the last two days. Due to the storm and intense snowfall, the resort could not open on Sunday. The accumulation of snow caused intermittent blockages on the access road, and the adverse weather conditions could not guarantee safety either within the ski domain facilities or for travel to the resort. Therefore, out of responsibility, safety was prioritized before resuming activity.

Today, access is open with snow chains, and work is underway to start the Cintes of the La Font and the Ludic Park. These will open progressively throughout the day. The Snowpark will remain closed for construction. La Molina

La Molina is recording new intense snowfall today, after accumulating between 50 and 65 cm in the last 48 hours, with total depths between 100 and 180 cm and high-quality powder snow. The ski domain is open, except for the Tosa, Alabau, and Torrent zones. Teams are working to progressively expand the opening and ensure the best safety conditions, as well as to prepare the Snowpark. Vall de Núria

The resort has accumulated between 45 and 50 cm of new snow since Friday, bringing snow depths to between 70 and 100 cm. During the weekend, both the Rack Railway, the ski resort, and the Leisure Park operated normally, with a high influx of visitors. Given the weather forecast, 6 of the 11 slopes remain open, along with the Leisure Park and all services, while avalanche prevention tasks continue. The storm alert remains active for the coming hours, so we recommend following the resort’s opening status at all times for real-time updates on any disruptions: https://www.whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7caQ8FMqrgiI1kbq1D

Vallter

Since Friday, 45 to 50 cm of new snow has been recorded, with current depths between 120 and 165 cm. Although the domain was 100% open during the weekend, due to the arrival of a new episode of intense snowfall and following CECAT recommendations, it was decided to temporarily close the resort today, Monday, January 19, for safety reasons, pending the ability to carry out PIDA (avalanche control) tasks as soon as conditions allow. We remind you that you can follow the resort’s WhatsApp channel for the latest updates on the snowfall and its effects at any time: https://www.whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbBKrNV8aKvQ3hntj40k
