Arrives Snowfy: automatic accident detection and immediate assistance, now as a free service for visitors

28 January 2026

This winter, FGC Turisme, in collaboration with Caser Grupo Helvetia, is introducing Snowfy, an artificial intelligence-based tool that automatically detects potential accidents on the slopes and triggers an immediate alert to speed up assistance. The launch, as a new feature for the season, will take place at the Espot Esquí and Port Ainé resorts in Pallaresa, and will be offered completely free of charge to visitors.

Snowfy is a mobile app that uses advanced algorithms to identify falls and impacts without the user having to do anything, even in situations where they are unable to call for help. When it detects a possible accident, it sends an automatic alert with the precise location, reducing response time and enabling ski patrol teams to act more quickly and effectively.

Professional protection integrated into the resort

Within the resort’s coverage area, the app can automatically activate Professional Protection, so that alerts go directly to the rescue/slope teams at participating resorts, integrating with safety protocols and enabling a coordinated and immediate response.

Simple setup in just a few steps

To use it, simply download the app, set up the protection mode (personal and/or professional), activate protection, and verify the alert delivery system. The process is designed so that any user can have it ready before they start skiing.

Privacy and location control

Snowfy emphasizes user control: it is not designed as a constant tracking app, and geolocation is activated in the context of accident detection. In addition, the user decides with whom to share their location, whether with their personal network and/or rescue teams (if configured).

Connection requirement

In order for the alert and location to be transmitted correctly, the app requires an internet connection (data) during use.

Why Espot and Port Ainé?

The launch in Espot and Port Ainé reflects FGC’s desire to promote innovation in safety at the Pallaresa stations, with a close, operational implementation aimed at improving the visitor experience in mountain environments. This action allows for the consolidation of a model that can be replicated and scaled to other centers.

A commitment that reinforces FGC’s safety model

This initiative is part of FGC’s strategy to enhance safety on the slopes through technology applied to prevention and response. In this regard, Snowfy is being tested and integrated operationally with the resort’s own equipment to ensure its effectiveness before a wider rollout of the service.

Download the Snowfy app and activate protection before hitting the slopes for greater peace of mind when skiing in Espot and Port Ainé.
