La Molina is one of the most advanced ski resorts in terms of accessibility and adapted sports. Recognized by the Catalan Tourist Agency as an advocate for adapted tourism, it was awarded the IAKS 2009 prize for its accessibility model and is one of the most prominent worldwide for adapted sports facilities.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation and the Play and Train association, La Molina has adapted its facilities with special access to chairlifts and learning zones on the El Bosquet slope, which is equipped with lifts and wide-format conveyor belts. Furthermore, it offers ski, snowboard, and adapted sports lessons taught by specialized instructors.
Since 2002, La Molina has been a pioneer in adapted skiing competitions, promoting social integration through sport. Today, it offers accessible activities throughout the year, such as tubbing, adventure parks, cable car rides, or winter sports like mono-ski, dual-ski, tandem, skiing for visually impaired people, or 4-track skiing.
The resort has reserved parking spaces, adapted equipment rentals, accessible entrances to restaurants, and accessible restrooms for wheelchairs. All of this makes La Molina a benchmark for inclusive tourism and adapted sports in Catalonia.
